Have done several airport fueling remodels adding jet-a and new 100 low lead. This time the general had someone else build the fueling cabinets and they had the layout all kinds of screwed up coming out the back of the cabinet. Turned into an ugly nightmare of piping. This was the result:

This is the way the cabinet came wired also. Not a single pipe was reamed:

The pipes didn't come out of a building. They came out of disp/hose reel cabinets that were about 5'x7'. They were made in Florida by a company, then shipped to Montana. The company asked us the order we wanted the pipes out the back, and obviously couldn't make that happen. Anyway, just thought I'd share

The customer should have rejected it. If time is important the seller should have been liable for significant back charges for the poor workmanship to be corrected or engineering services provided under warranty.
I had gone to great lengths to assure that my order entries were correct but yet when the equipment that I had sold was delivered and not according to specs I assumed the responsibility for correcting it by getting my plant involved, detailing the errors and getting engineering service to make the corrections.
I have one huge padmt transformer where engineering made a decision to change the enclosure design after the drawings were approved.
Any errors are difficult to resolve but it is often those errors that give you the opportunity to show your integrity. If addressed and corrected promptly the customer most likely will know that you support your product.
I also provided a big lineup of MV vac clad swgr where my plant made numerous significant and obvious errors. It took some negotiating with the state engineers and the great cooperation with my engineering service to bring the job to a successful end.
