I am a rookie electrical contractor. A Los Angeles City inspector has asked me to provide a green sheet for a 3800 sq ft home in which we did a minor electrical remodel. No service upgrade or replacement (200 amp), just added a sub panel for some arc fault breakers, remodeled the kitchen and added some recessed lights. I provided a load calc but this was not enough.... ?

Since we are both in Ca. but I am not in L.A. I think he maybe wanting something showing your lighting calcs. in the Kitchen meet up to title 24 requirements. 50% of your wattage has to be high "efficacy" fluorescent to incandescent. Or a lot of city's and county's have started using "green points" this applies to the energy and environmental "foot print". All a load of old socks if you ask me, but you are going to need to call him back and ask what he is looking for. Unless some one from L.A. chimes in.
I'm sure a lot of you right coast guy's get a good laugh out of it, but it will be coming to a city or county near you soon.

I have been using green sheets to get through inspections since the late 60s.

A "green sheet" is simply a set of as-built plans. The City of Los Angeles used to have an actual green sheet that you would draw them on. It was what you would use on smaller jobs, instead of submitting plans before hand.

Also don't forget that here in CA you need to submit a WS-5R form if you are doing any kitchen lighting.
