what is a "phenolic engraved nameplate"?

New one on me. A phenolic engraved nameplate? I understand Permanent, engraved, and nameplate for the panels. Specs call out a phenolic engraved.

The specs will usally tell you the sizes and colors.

I get them made at trophy shops, and sometimes you can find places in the mall that make keys and do ingraving that can make them for you...

phenolic is the name of the material. It is similar to plain old plastic but wears better. It is made by applying heat and pressure to layers of paper or glass cloth saturated with synthetic resin.
