What is Low Voltage?

What voltage does the NEC consider low voltage? Is it 24V? If so would this mean anything over 24.1 volts is high voltage?

"Low Voltage" is not an NEC issue and is not addressed.

Depends in which electrical world you work in.

High Voltage Guys:

High = Transmission Voltages
Medium = Street Pole Voltages
Low = Below 1000v

I personally think of low voltage as computer signals.

There is a difinition for Low Voltage in Article 551. "An electromotive force rated 24 volts, nominal, or less, supplied from a transformer, converter or battery."

Irrelevant to most of you I know, but in UK low voltage is defined as:
"not exceeding 1000Vac or 1500Vdc between conductors"

That sometimes surprises people here.
