The electrical panel in my house has no main breaker. It has 7 - 240V breakers: 70A Lights & Plugs main, which power 11 - 20A breakers for various parts of the house, 50A Lawn Pump Sub-Panel, 50A Range, 30A Water Heater, 30A HVAC Outside, 30A HVAC Inside, and 30A Dryer. I have never seen a panel like this before. It is a Square D 30 space panel from 1980. Does anyone know what the amp rating is for a panel like this? All 7 mains 240V breakers add up to 290 Amps.
