i was getting ready to make a short pull today. i had a roll of #10 in each hand coming from the truck, just enjoying the nice fall weather here. its been a really good day especially for a monday, ive been to 3 different jobs finishing up odds and ends and everything has went flawlessly. ive just got to make this pull and make it up and im done for the day, 4#10s about 65' piece of cake. so like i was saying im walking across the courtyard and a fly buzzes my ear, no big deal then ouch he stung me then ouch, ouch OH S&^T BEES!!!!! i had managed to step directly on a nest of ground bees and to make matters worse when i tried to make my escape i dropped a roll of 10 on them to. thats about the time i discovered that they can fly a whole lot faster than i can run. so after being stung about 20 times i guess i was out of range my apprentice was laughing so hard he was crying and just barely able to spit out " wow that was just like tommy boy". then i see the head maintenance guy coming over, hes seen the whole thing, he says " we had some complains about some crazed maniac running all over the place waving his arms in the air sceaming obscenities, you havent seen anything like that have ya?"

so yea i guess all in all it was a typical monday:grin:

LMAO :D

It had been me...I'd be - hopefully, just - in the hospital....me and bees have issues ;)

better than my monday -an old man i worked with once opened a cabinet and it was full of wasps , when he noticed he quickly hit the deck. The wasps all flew over him looking for something to sting. He said to me to always do that and you will never get stung , perty serious thing if he would have gotten bit - reportabale injury

I've heard stories of farmers who were killed by bee stings from plowing into a bee's nest in the ground. Crazy.
ground bees dont play theyre about 1 1/4" long and have a stinger like a 16 penny nail and theyre always mad. not the friendly little cherios bee

Last summer I had a hornets nest in my crawlspace, used my 40 cal flash suit, taped up the openings, and went in for the kill, no stings.
