What meter to use to test breakers over 100 amps? I have a cat 111 fluke meter that is rated for 100 Amps, can I use it to test a 400 Amp breaker? For example, the 400 amp breaker trips and I want to check the circuit for faults before I turn the circuit breaker back on.

If the current exceeds 100a, the meter should read O/L.

You can use the ohms scale of it, on the load side, to check for obvious faults. Power Off.!!

Agreed. Resetting breakers against faults is not a good idea.
