Installed a new service last week, went back today to energize the building it's feeding. I noticed this.

(Either I'm stronger than I thought I was, or I had a defective bug nut)

I despise acorns just for that reason, I always order extra as they do break easily.

Ahh, with vice-like grip. stickboy secures his acorns to the proper torque value to the driven copper rod. :grin:

Is that like the old G.I. Joe with the kung-fu grip (tm)?

I use different methods when tightening them, some times I use channel locks or a socket , so I was just curios what every one else uses.

Socket wrench but I'm too old and weak to break one.

Must have been real soft sand... did you push the ground rod in. LOL.

I didn't notice the tell tail "mushroomed" head on the "driven" ground rod.
