This may be a useless question but here goes.

What's the difference between Auxillary Gutters, Metal Wireways, and Surface Metal Raceways.

I suspect I've used these but not to sure of the exact differences.

Be easy on me.

Auxiliary Gutters I am not sure

Metal Wireways Are generally called troughs in my area and are usually at least 4" x 4" with a removable side.

Surface Metal Raceways. That would be code speak for a product like wiremold.

Thanks, I figured that was wiremold. Wanted to be sure. On a basic level the other two seem to be the same thing, just wondering if there is a major difference. Maybe the Auxillary Gutter is something not really used?

One major difference that auxiliary gutters has contrasting metallic wireway, other than the obvious "non-metallic" versions, is they can contain busbars.

AG's also have listing requirements.

AG's cannot extend more than 30' beyond the equipment it supplements, with an exception for elevators.
