Hello,

I'm wondering what differentiates Square D I-Line F-Frame, Q-Frame, H-Frame, J-Frame, K-Frame circuit breakers from each other for a given amperage; say 100A.
Each model has a variety of IC ratings so it's not that. Physical size may impact some installations but not all.

F was the original 100A frame, it was available in 240V, 480V, and 600V ratings.
Q is the 250A frame 240V maximum
H is the current 150A frame, 600V maximum, which replaced the F
J is the current 250A frame, 600V maximum, which replaced the K
K was the original 250A frame, 600V maximum.

All of the above are available with 100A trip.

How is that for an answer. Kudos to Jim.
