It looks like one of those 2-part epoxy caulking guns, but there's no tubes in it, and it looks like he's doing something to a set of wires. I don't think he's got a bum hand. I think he's just got cold hands and gloves with the fingers cut off.

So what is the tool used for? I think it has to do with the cables coming from the solar panels, and related to tying it in to JBs. Is this the case?
