Of course, I would assume this is the service riser for the lateral, which means there's service conductors in that box. Makes me wonder what's in that sealtight (AC branch circuit????)

Quite possibly. I assumed the GEC was just to the right of the PVC TA. But it would be worth the time to take that cover off and make sure.

Looks tacky running cross-country like that anyway......

I especially like the bare grounding of the Masonite siding or is it vinly..I bet that is an effective means for a fault..

I thought if I showed the dish everyone would have noticed the ground to the PVC right away ! If I were an inspector, I would want a PVC expansion riser !

I did not think of that but normally do not use them on wires that are only encased for physical protection and ran a short distance..If that were to be a solidly installed piping system then that would be a requirment...
