Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone could shed some light on how do I determine if i need to install retaining straps with beam clamps? These are the straps that connect to the beam clamp and then wrap around the beam to ensure the beam clamp will not come off. When is this required? In earthquake fault zones? I heard something about NFPA 13, but that only seems to reference sprinkler systems.
