Now that the '08 is being adopted in more places, everyone is getting a copy of it.

Just curious, where do y'all get your new Codebooks from?

I bought mine at a code seminar. The code seminar taught me many rules that were not found in the code book. It was quite strange.  ;)

Supply house which isn't a choice. How do I respond to this poll if I am the boss and buy it on my own from the supply house? :D

Mike Holt Enterprises is an excellent supplier!

Frankly, I'm thinking about buying another code book to take to the job,
but I might also go for the picture book and the CD for the Abode! :)

I buy at least 3 copies of the NEC for myself.
1. for the office
2. for the bag I carry in my car - this one is the one with the most detailed highlighting and notes in it.
3. for the home office, where I am now.

I have a spare in the closet - ;)

I have at least one copy of every NEC back to 1962. and a couple of real old ones.

You make your living with your tools, which I am sure you have plenty of money invested in.

Let me add, that from the sheer number of posts you have, and my number of years here at this site - since '03, I have seen a tremendous growth of knowledge that you have gained...that would not be just from your tools. So, don't misjudge what I posted in regards to your book knowledge.

That sums up the case for a lot of people here.
I don't see a problem with having 3 code books, I have the CD/handbook for home and the soft bound in the truck.

I think people mistook a joke for some sort of backhanded insult. I was not trying to insult Pierre of course an instructor would have a need for more then one book.

Of course there is nothing wrong with owning more then one code book. My point was actually that many people here own much more then 3 code books.
