Where is Isolated Power Systems required

Looking at the code (517.160), It doesn't tell you
where you have to have Iso Power System. I know that it is a good design pratice for operating rooms. But where in the NEC does it tell you that you have to install them.

Isolated power systems are an option in the NEC as well as NFPA 99.

State codes, local codes, or the facility itself will be the determining factor.
