Anything to trade for it? I have at least 150' of OCAL PVC coated aluminum RMC that was shipped to me by mistake by my supplier a couple of years ago (I only use steel). He didn't want it back, and I really don't want it around in case someone tries to use it.

i did not know there was aluminum RMC. nec 05 344.2 says yup there is. whats it used for. curious and like to learn.

I have used it twice.

Once in a ice cream factory by request of the factory. The work was in the vicinity of citric acid storage tanks. They claimed that steel conduit would rust quickly and aluminum would last.

I also used it by choice when rewiring a log flume ride, it was easy to thread, bend, carry and would hold up well in very wet environment.

For my first 15 years in the trade I used nothing but aluminum rigid. This was at a paper mill that was a very wet invironment and steel would rust after a few years.

I love it, like iwire said it threads and bends easy, and you can throw 10 sticks of 1/2" over your shoulder without too much trouble.

You have to be careful with 1/2" and 3/4" because it is somewhat flimsy if not supported well on vertical runs. It will also expand and contract quite a bit on long runs outdoors.
