Which code is the most recent, not the code for NY city only.
I am having a bit of a problem determining what rules I should read when it comes to a service line replacement.
The replacement is due to water getting into the wires and destroying the neutral wire. The service line was attached to a customer pole.
At the top was no drip loop, but a vertical drop from the splic into the weather head, line dropping down customer pole.
The loop was at the bottom of the customer pole and crossed over 2' attached by wood board, to the building and then up into the meter pan.
I am trying to determine which is better to do.
Either the job is to over head or in ground. (there is about 2' between the pole and the house)
The service is a 100 amp. The info in the Blue Book, says 2" either plastic or galanized pipe for 200 amp.
I need to find what is required for 100 amp. can I use 2" plastic or galanized. And for the inground pipe what is used for transistion from galanized to plastic coming out of the ground. I asked this question on another forum and I don't understand the answers. So thought I would try here.
Thanks Nancy,
