I use square. Not sure if it's the best or least expensive? It does suit my needs.

We use Clover. We used to use Square but it didn't do chips so we switched to Clover, which does chips, swiping, and manually entering. I believe if we swipe or use the chip we get charged 1% and if we manually enter it's like 2-1/2 or 3%.

Square might do chips now, I haven't checked back in a while.

I think it might be a couple of bucks to have square do chips, depending on the kind of account you have. We have a couple of the stripe readers for our cub scout pack for when we do fund raisers.
