I'm moving and need to put a thermostat back in I took out last year. But I can't remember what the little white wire coming fromt he thermostat is for. Baseboard heat, SP thermostat, black, red and the smaller white wire. I suspect it's a neutral but am not sure. Thanks!

I suspect so also but I have never seen a neutral on a 220 baseboard heater. Is there a neutral in the box????? What is the model # and brand?

I just too a look.. Think it's a 240 baseboard. Double pole breakers in the garage. But.. No meter with me : ) It's a Cadet(Eaton) M411 SP Heat Anticipated. I might just not hook up the white.. See if it works.

No neut if it's 240.
