I have a client who wanted a whole house surge protector so I purchased one. Upon looking at the service I noticed that 2 separate SEU cables come out of the load side of the meter socket, the 2 wires are under the same lugs. There is no means of disconnect at the meter. These 2 SEU cables feed 2 different main breaker panels. I'm wondering if one surge protector will protect both panels or is it necessary to get a second surge protector for the other panel. What do you think?
