Why did the city condemn my property?

The owner of this property was given 7 days to fix items like this. This was right in front of the door to a popular bar and grill

This is just one of about 50 issues cited. I'm sorry the other photos didn't turn out

It should have been condemed and disconnected immediately. People could be injured or killed. In seven days a lot of accidents could happen.

Those cables coming out the back of that, where are they going?

Looks like they're just running through the air up to the building.

It's hard to tell what's going on, but the concrete under the cones looks like it's new (evidenced by the form). It also looks like this is in the parking lot, what with the curb and the stop.

It is new the hack contractor that was hired to replace the support columns for the second floor just demolished the old got his money and ran. I got involved when they hired a GC friend of mine to make it right. These are SE cables that originally ran down one of the wooden columns. I sleeved it all in some sch 80 for now until the new steel is installed then I will make it permanent.
