Wide Beam

I have a small project using sonar distance measurement. The device I have has an eight degree beam spread. While looking at another brand I see it listed as "wide".
That tells me a lot.

Any EWAGs as to how they compare?

To me, 8 degrees sounds narrower than "wide." That's about as WA as my EG can get.

You could always contact the manufacturer and ask just how many degrees wide wide is.
