Well now I'm part of the "in" crowd. My Wiggy gave up the ghost today and I need to replace it NOW.:mad:

I'm looking for either a link to a discussion about this or if anyone would like to offer their opinion on a good solenoid type tester I should look at to replace my Wiggy.

Anything, as long as it is CAT III rated.

Just buy another. Had the same old 1 from back when hector was a pup and he died of old age years ago. I still want one with me. Did you drop it in the snow

No snow, yet. The cold weather got it. It is amazing how brittle plastic can get when it's cold outside.

I was under the impression that the Square D "Wiggy" has been discontinued.

I like the solenoid type too. I've been using a Knopp K60 ever since I was a apprentice. It's round instead of oval like the Wiggie is, so it fits very comfortably in my back pocket. I have other meters too, but this one usually goes with me all day. http://www.knoppinc.com/

I've completely switched over to a Fluke T5-600 though I'd like to get a T+ Pro as well.

In my opinion, solenoidal testers have gone the way of the dinosaur. I have given several away and keep one for posterity.
