Hi
I have a question about how to do the system grounding for a 1 phase 2 wire inverter (no neutral).the inverter is; Aurora pvi-3.0.

The w-series (wind model) PVI inverter info is here:

http://www.power-one.com/renewable-...urora-wind/pvi-30-pvi-36-pvi-42-outd-w/series

Inverter installation manual:

http://www.power-one.com/sites/powe...pvi-multiple-outd-us_w__rev2_2_29-06-2009.pdf

Wind rectifier manual:

http://www.power-one.com/sites/powe.../tech-manual/manual_installation_pvi-wind.pdf

According to the data sheet, this is a transformerless inverter, otherwise known as a "non-isolated" inverter, meaning that there is no isolation transformer between the dc and ac sides of the inverter. In that case—at least with PV systems—the dc system is ungrounded. (See 690.35; I don't see a parallel section in Article 694 for small wind.)

In this application, you only have dc between the rectifier and the inverter. The native wind turbine output will be wild 3-phase ac. The rectifier manual only refers to an EGC; there is no reference to a GEC.
