Wire cages for luminaires

Hello,

Are there NEC or OSHA requirements to have lamps protected by wire cages or lens for luminaires that are suspended? We currently have luminaires in our facility that are over 20 yrs old that do not any protection. The luminaires are mostly in mechanical spaces.
