I COULD NOT FIND THIS ON NEC BOOK. IS THE COLOR
OF WHITE AND GRAY CONSIDERED THE SAME? FOR SAY NEUTRAL FOR 120VAC.

There is an entire article on identification of the grounded conductor, article 200. Take a look at section 200.6 Keep in mind there was a major change in 200.6 between the 1999 NEC and 2002 NEC.

Your profile says manufacturer. Is your equipment listed by UL or other lab?
