that seems like alot of wire for such a small space. I just can't imagine it taking a full roll.....oh well.
I just burned up 250'+ of 12/2 wiring my kid's room.....but then again...there's 11 recept.s; 3 switch locations(4 switch legs); 7 recessed cans; a CF; and 2 circuits

Code minimum?
I think not!

LOL

(The reason I used #12? I had it hogging up real estate and it needed to goooooooo......)

roughly 1 foot of wire per square foot of floor space, give or take a few hundred feet.

or maybe it's more like .75 feet of wire per 1 square foot of space.
Thats a big number difference first you added sum and then go into a percentage. I don't play darts but I do like yahoo pool...

It's just a running joke/debate/argument we have here about 15 amp circuits vs. 20 amp circuits for general purpose receptacles in a dwelling unit.

You know, I was the inspector here for 5 yrs, and I dont remember any thing in anything I ever read...We have a few Indian tribe homes and they would have 15's, but they would be wired by roadies....but the locals...never

But it's a new idea to me so I can appreciate that. I remember I learned the hard way that you can't share a neutral for 2 circuits if 1 of them needs to be gfi protected when I pulled 14/3 homerun to sump pump outlet and 14/2 out of that to the basement/outdoor recepts. gfi circuit.

You can certainly share the neutral if you're using GFCI receptacles. Were you trying to use a GFCI circuit breaker?

no just a receptacle. And after I did it and it wouldn't trip or something like that (it was a long time ago) my supervisor said that they don't work if you share the neutrals and not to do it again.
