I had a terrifically bad wire jam this afternoon during a pull through smurf tube. I was trying to pull a pair of 18-2 CL3 low voltage cables into an existing 1/2" smurf tube chase that already contained an RG6 coax. The chase is about 20' long and has several gentle curves in it as it snakes from basement to attic (two stories). After completely jamming the cables twice in two attempts, I ended up having to cut the RG6, pull everything back out completely, and tape the cables in a staggered fashion so they all moved together in the smurf tube and ended up at the right lengths. I was in a the FAR end of an attic, and the other guy was in the basement feeding. We got the new cables installed, and i have to go back tomorrow to splice the RG6... at the FAR end of the attic. What an afternoon.
