wire length/price estimating

Hello Everyone. Hope your summer is fun and profitable. My question- when estimating wire length for romex for a rough on a house; is there a typical length you assume per outlet, switch, 3 way fan, hr, etc? Do you price wire per foot or ..........?

Any input is appreciated. Thanks everyone.

I go with 1000ft per 1000sqft of #14 250ft per 1000sqft #12
On wire for HWH,dryer and stove I keep a 250ft spool of #10 & 6 but it depends on the lay out and location of the equipment.

That's about what I use. But I still do all of the outlets by assembly. I.E. box, wire nuts, device, and cover

I don't even try to predict how much NM I'll use for a dwelling. I just bid it per opening, and buy what is needed to complete the job.

I use those numbers just to load material. SWAG method:grin:

Of course, one needs 10/2 and the other 10/3.

Or you could be wasteful and cut the white out of 10/3:grin:
