I know that you cannot use phase tape on grounded conductors that are #6 or smaller and that you can use phase tape on ungrounded conductors of any size. My question is......can you use phase tape on a green wire so that it can be used as an ungrounded conductor?

Nope. If it's green it's only allowed as an equipment ground. 250.119
250.119 is about terminals. I was asking about using phase tape on a green wire. I can't find the code section that addresses that. Please advise if you know the code section. Thanks for the reply.

250.119 is about terminals.
Where are you reading that? Here is 250.119, notice the heading.

Thanks for the info. I have an older code book and obviously the subject matter of 250,119 has changed over the years. I need to get an updated code book. Thanks again.
I guess, your code book must be before 1999.
