Looks like the wire is connected to the van thru an eyelet or something on the back. Hope you dont blow out that brickwork or bend the rail stanchions pulling it out. :jawdrop:

eta: might want to quarter-cut a piece of pvc or something around that sharp masonry block corner or affix a rollblock or something.

Blow up the first image; the cable running thru the doorframe is connected to the van. and yes, unfortunate experience with a cable removal pull similar that did infact destroy a handrail. using that as a bollard, roller, etc is not something I'd do a second time.

on third look that is the rope, I think the lead is in the second pic. OP?
