You will have to supply more information before anyone could give you an answer.

What is your load in amps?

Conductors or cable? Insulation type? Overhead or underground? Copper or aluminum? Residential or commercial? Etc., etc., etc.

We're not picking on you, it's just that these are the questions we have to answer when we need to know what you're asking.

As Bob asked, the load is always required even for the simple math. Hey, if this were easy, everyone would be doing it. :)

wire size for long run

hey guys I got the same problem with speakerboy. The same question i going to ask. Presently Im working in qatar as a foreman my job requires me to determine the proper size of cable as per total load calculation and given lenght. Calculation as follows:
1. total load ------140 kilowatts
2. distance of cable to be laid from porta cabin to substation----------100 meters.
3 type of cable----------xlpe/swa/pvc/cu
pls. advise size of cable to be used and need standard table for me touse as guide. thanks

If you guys ever get around to answering these two questions, I have one of my own.
I'm travelling to Dallas next week....How long will it take?

Drive man! If you fly Jet blue or Southwest, it's 10 hours after the Jet pulls of the dock, plus you figure 2 hours for security check in, plus an hour for luggage on destination...about 13 hours, if your lucky. The day is shot, and you don't have a rental car for less than $40 a day.

Plus if you drive, you have protection on board.
