I need to know if a 120/208v three phase75 amp360 volt 4 wire machine needs #3 or #4 leadsw w/#6 grd will this work distence is about 40 foot away from the panel and also will this lead wire fit in the breaker,thank u

I'm confused? Is it 120/208V or 360V?

At 75 degrees, #4 is good for 85A. If this machine is a continuous load, you will probably need to use #3. (75A + 25%)

Check the manufacturer's instructions on the breaker. It will tell the maximum and minimum permitted conductor size that can be used. I am supposing you are using an 80A breaker (considering there is no 75A breaker), which in most cases will accept a #4 or #3 conductor.
