I have a utility transformer to an 800 ampere fused service. IS the correct wire size 2 sets #600 awg at 75 celsius.

please inform if this is correct.

For a installation point of view, I typically do not use anything lager then 500 mcm. It is to hard to handle in the field.

The only other question is " What's the load?" You could run paralleled 500 KCMIL if the load was under 760 amps, but would need paralleled 600 if the load was over 760.

2-sets of 600kCmil is sufficent to supply 840A assuming two seperate raceawys. If all of the underground conductors are in the same raceway 310.15(B) (2) will apply for .
derating.

Know why are you delivering 840A capacity
there are numerous senarios that may work 4 sets of 3/0 200A per phase . This depends on the equipment and purchased lug configuration.

Does the feeder demand on the service require 800A ??
