Wire Strands and Terminal Connection

Similar to a recent thread but different, what do you think about the pictured installation?

Looks like the inside strands must be "pulled back" from the end of the conductor - though possiby just far enough we can't see them at that angle. If the lug was tightened they about have to be that way otherwise the outer strands would have been pushed together when tightening the lug.

If that is what you have there I don't know I would be overly concerned with the integrity of the connection - it is probably about as good as it would have been if the strands were all even anyway.
