We have a wiring tray we are considering adding to and I had a couple questions. It has 480 v singles, 120volt multi-conductors, thermocouple wire, cat5 and 6 communications and some older phone wire

390 had many rules for cables 4/0 and larger
Does that mean the conductors 4/0 and larger or multi-conductor cables for example with a diameter larger than .642?

Can the cat5-6, and phone cables be ran with 480v-240v-120v cables in same tray. I read thru 700-800 and got confused with the different classes?

When it says 4/0 and larger, it is referring to conductor size, not cable diameter.

Determine what type of wiring it is: power and lighting, control, Class 1, 2, or 3. You can pretty much be assured Class 2 and 3 will have to be either in another tray or in the same tray with a physical barrier between it and other types.
