Where can I find a chart or other method to identify the wattage of a Wire Wound Variable Resistor?
The label is: OHMITE DIVIxxHM NO. 0568 250 ohm xx46 (xx= illegible characters). It is 4" long x 1/2" outside Dia. x 1/4" inside dia.
I am replacing it with a slightly larger wattage rheostat for convenience and because the original ceramic tube broke when it blew.
I've checked a few distributors and other elec. sites to no avail. Also looked in a few basic elec. reference books. Any ideas.

Look for one with the same resistance and physical size.

Thanks Bennie. The situation is that my customer brought me the broken part instead of a service call.

Thanks Hbiss. I have the exact replacement P/N and the rheostat P/N from the Ohmite link you provided.
