I apologize in advance for such a basic question. I am awaiting delivery of a 7500 watt garage heater I intend to install in my garage. Let me start by saying the actual work on the panel and new 240v breaker will be done by an electrician, however I'd like to get a jump on getting the wire run through the ceiling and then down to the location the heater will be hung. My question is about the wire/cable I need to buy. Do I need an 8/2 or 8/3? I have seen videos about the specific heater saying to use 8/2, but at the local big box home improvement store where I ordered the heater they are telling me to buy 8/3. Thanks in advance.
