Does the NEC allow the wiring of a double pole single throw light switch with 120 volt circuit on one pole to operate a bathroom exhaust fan and a 277 volt circuit on the other pole.

This is from the UL Guide information for snap switches.
Quote:
Multi-pole, general-use snap switches have not been investigated for more than single-circuit operation unless marked "2-circuit" or "3-circuit."

Never mind that how would the disconnect handle tie be done? Same yoke 277 and 120 = different panels.

I think 404.8 deals with adjacent devices this is one device.

I though leviton made 2 pole 30a switches for two circuits?

I have used a 3 way switch to control a bathroom light. I wired it so that when it is in the 'on' position, it would turn on the main light, when 'off' it would turn on a little night light.

Matt, this would still be dealing with one circuit.

Handle ties would not apply in this situation, it is not a MWBC (210.4) and 210.7 is dealing with receptacles, although I do think it is meant to cover other devices and equipment, it just has an unnecessary word in it's title.

The only 2-circuit switches I've ever seen were DPDT (three position). Hubbell has quite a few in the catalog marked for two circuit use that are DPDT, center off.

It still cant get passed both circuits need common trip for one yoke

Sure, I was just addressing that one little thing. I'm not sure if there's a DPST two circuit rated switch even made.
