Wiring a hot tub

Hello -
I will be wiring a hot tub in the near future. The tub is going to sit on a deck right next to the house. My question is the tub will be right next to the a/c unit and a gutter. Is that an issue? Thanks, all

It's required to be at least five feet away from it's disconnect. I'm guessing that would apply to any electrical enclosures.

You might need to run a bond wire to the AC unit and maybe to the gutter, otherwise it's fine.

Any metal parts within 5' of the tub needs to be bonded... Proximity of the a/c to the tub is not an issue but it must be bonded.

I have had to bond a metal gutter as well as metal pipes that were used as a railing

If this is a self contained Hot Tub 680.42(B) relaxes the bonding requirements compared to a typical built Hot Tub/SPA/Pool if all of the requirements are met.

Yes, but to be clear, I believe that just relaxes the bonding of perimeter surfaces not for metal within 5' of the tub

If its a wood frame deck i always make sure it can handle the weight

Wondering if the AC disconnect is 5 feet away. Think it would need to be if it's not.

680.22(D) requires 10-feet between that Hot-Tub and the AC Unit (other outlet)

680.22(C) requires 5-feet from switching devices (AC disco?) and that Hot-Tub

I would consider the junction box on the unit as the outlet (connection point of utilization equipment) which would need to be 10 feet away, but not necessarily the entire unit.

With bonding all of these items does the number 8 from the tub have to be unbroken or can I use a double lug at each location?

It doesn't have to be continuous.
