Wiring behind Service Panel Back Pan

Common sense tells me this isn't right. Cant seem to find a code reference or mfg manual that specifically addressees it.
Branch grounds and neutrals run behind a sheet metal back pan.

:lol: Ha ! Someone really got compulsive with that one !

As long as the percentage fill of the overall enclosure is not exceeded, I believe the Code is silent about this. If the conductors were bundled and tywrapped the result would be similar. . .

For whatever its worth, the original Square D residential circuit breaker center was a model line called the "MultiBreaker". It was introduced in the late 1930s and was manufactured in such a way that required branch circuit conductors to be run behind the "panelboard" that held the breakers.

This is a design issue, more than anything, in my opinion.

I have to admit, it does look clean!

But by zip-tying all those conductors into two bundles like that, isn't there a risk of overheating the wires in the core of the bundle?
