Wiring for lighting

A public library in Chicago is undergoing lighting upgrade - from recessed lighting (T12) to pendant indirect lighting (T5HO). Old fixtures and wiring were done in mid 80's.
Should we recommend changing the wiring also? Library trying to save $$ by keeping the wiring.

Do the new fixtures require 90 deg C wireing at the oulet boxes where only 60 Deg is present. ?

I'm not so sure. If I recall correctly THHN was just comming on the market late 70's and early 80's.

I worked a supply house as a kid and they still had THW stock in 80. was THW 60 or 90 at the time.

I believe THW would still have been 75C at that time, same as it is now.

TW perhaps? That would have 60C and was used a fair amount then I have heard.

I forgot about 75C,
So at what point do you need to do something about the less than 90Deg C wiring that so many new fixtures require.
