Wiring methods -MC or NMC

I'm working on the design of a small dormitory, 3 stories with unfinished basement.

I don't know the exact type of construction(type I-V) but it appears to be basic wood frame.

I am not sure if the proper wiring for this space is type MC or NMC.

I know NMC is basically intended for single/multi dwelling units but I'm not sure if a dormitory like this one is considered a multi dwelling unit.

I am thinking to specify MC throughout. Any thoughts?

And lastly what is the proper wiring to use in this unfinished basement?
