have been tasked with specifying the re-wiring of an existing concrete pre-cast garage (3 stories - maybe 60K square feet total). The exercise is owed to the fact that it was originally done with EMT and is now rusting. For the power and lighting I plan to specify AFC's parking deck PVC coated MC cable. For Fire Alarm I can't use that because it's not rated for fire alarm. I guess I'm stuck with IMC or RGS as at least being better than EMT. But we all know that these two types of conduits eventually rust as well such that all I will have done is replaced the existing rusty installation with one that will a) take longer to rust and b) have more thickness so that it will take longer to rust through.
