wiring outbuilding

Can I use UF cable to wire an outbuilding, feeders are coming from my main panel. I found in the code that I am not able to use UF cable for service entrance. Does this mean for the main service panel or for subpanels? thanks jeff

Service: The conductors and equipment for delivering electric energy from the serving utility to the wiring system of the premises served.

Feeder: All circuit conductors between the service equipment, the source of a separately derived system, or other power supply source and the final branch-circuit overcurrent device.

I would call it a Feeder if it is feeding a sub-panel and I would say use it. Heed 340.80 for conductor sizing.

You said feeders. An outbuilding would only be permitted to have (1) feeder.
