CAN YOU USE A WIRING TROUGH AS A CABLE SUPPORT BOX.2008 NEC
Initial thought... is the cable inside or outside of trough (i.e. wireway)?

Perhaps it don't matter, but what kind of cable?

PS: QUIT YELLING... we can hear just fine!

It's done that way quite often. Is the cable supprted solely by the box or by the raceway in the box?

lets say 3inch conduit run as a riser with lets say 4 500mcm cable support every 50ft
can a wireway {trough} be used for the cable support bushing and cable support wedge
lets not forget the ends of a wireway is only supported by screw . not a welded box like most pull boxes.

If the conduit is properly supported then the fact that the end plate is held on by a few screws won't really matter. The wedge is holding the conductors against the conduit bushing.

...if your using conduit wedges, your conduit is doing the supporting, not the wireway.
