I am submitting a budget # for the installation of wireless video cameras mounted on light poles , the customer is suggesting using the existing AC lighting circuit conductors to power the camera.

I am not certain of the voltage but would assume 277VAC

So my question is there a source for a pre constructed junction box assembly specific for this application.

Contents would be at a minimum some type of X-former

Thanks in advance

277V > 24V 50VA transformers are pretty common. First question would be whether your customer intends on leaving their lights on all the time? What kind of wireless are you thinking of? It might not like being turned off every day.

Wireless cameras are a bit of a chore due to the bandwidth involved. I've had success with analog>IP encoders and then sending the signal over quality WiFi hardware. (Proxim, Terabridge, Ubiquiti)
