Does UL address withstand ratings of panelboard and switchabords? Do panel and switchboards have published withstand ratings? Just curious with the use of the newer technology in the electronic trip units for molded case breakers is withstand an issue? For example if I take a 400 or 600A electronic trip breaker and dial the short time and instantaneous way up….does this ever become an issue with fault currents and longer operating times? I noticed that transfer switch manufactures now rate some of their equipment a “time” base with revisions to UL 1008…….
