I was wondering what kind of gloves do you guys use for everyday use and what kind when working on energized panels upto 240V?

Is that legally acceptable ?

Well since I was doing hot work with out the proper permits or any other PPE, I would kind of consider that question moot.

Done hundreds of services with no gloves, so I would think that any kind of protection is better than none.

Now if we're just talking about work gloves, I want something I can feel through not some big old bulky thing that is likely to cause me to drop a tool.

For everyday use I like the "safegrip" latex gloves. You gotta get the ones with the increased thickness. You can get them from Grainger. I don't usually work on energized panels but I would probably use leather in that case.
