I am currently licensed in CT. My best client does commercial property management and tenant fit ups for a large property owner in CT, NY, and MA. He recently asked me if I wanted to bid on a project in NY. I do know a master electrician in NY that would pull a permit for me. Does anyone have experience in this type of situation. The only way I would consider doing the job is if everything were done completely legitamitly-Whatever that may entail. I am aware of all the liability issues, I just dont fully understand NY licensing laws, or whether the contract would legally have to be from a NY company-i.e-Can I just sub him out? Any advice would be appreciated

Right here.
A great deal of NY requires no licensing. Best to call the locality where the work is to be done. They don't license on a state level.
